“ What a wonderful breakfast spot! I was looking for a place to eat breakfast coming from Long Beach and I came upon Pops Cafe. I picked it from Yelp because (to me) great breakfast spots close at 2-2:30pm, because the focus is majorly on breakfast! The service, ambiance, friendliness from the entire staff was amazing. They run their establishment like a well oiled machine! Everyone knows their place and does a wonderful job in the short amount of time opened. There was a line but it moved quickly and efficiently. I was seated within 10 minutes. There's ample free parking and the food is delicious. I would absolutely come back when I'm in the area. *Thank you Pops Cafe* ”

“ My boyfriend recommended me this mom and pop shop. We tried coming here a couple times but the wait was insane! We tried one more time on Valentine's Day and we waited for about 30-45 minutes, considering the date, it wasn't too bad! The portions are hefty and the waiter was patient and polite. ”

“ It's been a while since I could say this area of Downey was our neighborhood. Hate to admit it, but I never knew about Pop's Cafe. Thanks to a buddy who is an elite Yelper, we got to try it out today. The food was pretty good. I had a Cobb salad with chicken, bacon, and avocado for breakfast--it was that good. My wife had the pancake breakfast. The food reminded me of the kind we would get early before a golf outing or heading to the lake to fish. I love the road-tripping memorabilia, which really emphasizes the cafe vibe. Now about the service: the staff was super friendly and courteous. It was busy when we got there a little after 9am on a Saturday, but we got seated right away. By the time we left, every table was occupied, and there was a waiting list. My wife's pancakes took a while to be delivered. They seemed fully staffed, so maybe they were just at max capacity. Sorry, no pics--we gobbled it up and then realized no photos were taken. ”
